死霊館シリーズ、シリーズ初で見る作品。2014年作品。

冒頭は、アナベル人形が、ウォーレン夫妻に預けられるシーンから。

　時は遡り、1970年代初頭教会にて、礼拝をしている夫婦。お隣のフォーム夫婦とは仲良くしていて、教会でも会う。フォーム夫婦の娘　アナベルが帰ってこない事を除けば、温和な夫婦だった。

　ミア達夫婦は子供を待ち望んでいた。妻はアンティークの人形を集めるのが趣味らしく、部屋にはいくつか人形がある。　

夫が急に目を閉じて！と言い、妻が目を開けると大きな箱が。中からは大きな古い人形が現れる。　

ずっと妻が探していたアンティーク人形だと言う。その夜から、不快な事件が次々起こる。　

隣のフォーム夫婦が夜喧嘩してるのを妻が見つける。夫ジョンが隣の家に行くのを、心配そうに見つめる妻ミア。　

すると、隣の家のドアがバーン！と開いたかと思ったら、ジョンの衣服に血が！　ジョン「俺の血ではない、(フォーム夫婦が血を流してる)救急車を呼べ！」。　

ミアは、家に戻り、救急車に電話する。　その時、後ろに人影が…？　気付かず、電話を終えた時、誰かがミアを襲う！　妊娠するミアの脇腹に刺さる何か！揉み合う2人。　

ジョンが家に戻り、加勢に入るが、また誰かにやられてしまう。　また、夫婦で何者かと揉み合い夫がやられ、ミアも…と言う処で、警官が犯人を撃つ！犯人は隣のフォーム夫婦の娘アナベルと交際相手であり、アナベルは狂信的にカルト教団を信じていた。

　警官に撃たれ横たわる人の手には女の子の人形が抱かれていた…。その人形の頬には、血がしたたる。

　病院に運ばれたミアは、お腹の赤ちゃんに問題ないと言われていた。　家に帰ると、何回も洗浄したから平気だよと、ジョンに促され、帰路に着く。　

ただ、夜はまた不思議な現象が。誰も居ない赤ちゃんに用意した部屋のモビールが動き出し、妻のミシンが動く。

誤作動と思い、スイッチを切るも、夜だけでなく昼もその、人形の部屋から音が聞こえる。人形の乗ったロッキングチェア。　妻は「捨てて」と、夫に人形を捨てさせる。

　翌日、部屋で休みつつうたた寝したりしてる妻を起こさず、ジョンがポップコーンをコンロに仕掛け、出掛ける。　

ミアは、気付かず、テレビを見ながらミシンでモノを作り続ける。　やがて、キッチンが火の海になってるとも気付かないままだったが、TVを見ながらミシンをしていて、集中していず、指をミシンで切ってしまう。

　指を洗いに行くと、キッチンの火事に気付く。　まさかの、大火事で助けてと逃げるが、妻の足を何者かが掴み、妻は引き摺られ、火事の中に。　

その時、隣のフォーム夫婦の事を調べ報告していた刑事に助けてもらえ、また病院に運ばれる。病院に到着するジョン。　怪我は大丈夫だった。赤ちゃんも出産してしまった…と。

　家を引っ越す夫婦。引越しの荷解きをしていると、人形は帰ってきてしまうが、ミアは神父にもポルターガイストを相談していて、神父が言った「恐怖に打ち勝かないと」と言ったのを思い出し、壁に飾る。

出掛けようとマンション下の階へ行くと、階段に子供がいて、通る際に声掛けするが、あまり良い答えは帰ってこない。　マンションを出て、近所の本屋へ。本屋で引越し先の近くだと言う店員エブリンと出会う。　

本屋を出、赤ちゃんを抱っこし、目を離した隙にベビーカーが勝手に道路に動き出し、ベビーカーはトラックに轢かれ大破する。

　意気消沈して戻ったミア、帰るとマンションの床には子供達が描いた大破したベビーカーやトラックが描かれていた紙が…。やはり、人形が来てから色々な不幸に見舞われる。神父がお祓いしようと人形を預かるが、返り討ちにあってしまう…。果たして、夫妻は無事、助かるのか？

　ミアの事を助けようと、本屋のエブリンが悪魔についての書籍を探してくれたり、協力してくれる。エブリンがは、ミアの夫に出会った時に、昔から知ってるみたいな…と話すのが、伏線だった。　

彼女は、幼い子供を亡くしていた。　ミアが最終的にまた悪魔の呪い(アナベルを媒体とした)でエレベーターに乗って地下のゴミ捨て場に行くが暗闇に何度も引き摺り込まれそうになったりするけど、神父やジョンは助けてくれる感じでない。

　本編にはウォーレン夫妻も出ないし…と思って終盤、ミアは悪魔に言う通り(文字は書けるらしい)‘死をもって悪魔を収める’事を実行しようと飛び降りようとするときに！ジョンとエブリンが辿り着き、止め、エブリンが‘子供が死んだ時は死ぬ時ではなかった。

今がその時だ’と言う若干、オチが見えた処で、アナベル人形を抱いて飛び降りる。　なんとも…ポルターガイストも、アナベル誕生の理由もちゃんと説明出来てる。　ホラー映画としては、及第点だろう。　映像も暗くなく、お約束の展開だが、最後に本物らしきアナベル人形の映像が出た処で、満足。

　だが、途中の風呂場のシーンで、美女が全裸だが、モザイクが大事な部分にかかっていた処で、萎えた。　そんな思い出から、数十年、再び見る事が出来た“シャイニング”。　この何十年の間にも、既に、何回も他のホラー映画でリスペクトされたシーンを何度も見ている。

　同スティーブン作品でも、似た様なシーンはいくつもある。　さて、当時と今までの感想はこれ位にして、本編を録画してたのを、見る。

最初は、明るいシーンだ。以外に。　山の中を車で走って居るだけだが、おどろおどろしい音楽が流れている。タイトルコールの前に、監督と主演のロゴが、出て、ちょっとカッコ良い様な始まりだが、違和感は隠せない。　

映画『シャイニング』あらすじ

　主人公ジャックは、小説家志望だが、冬の間、経営を封鎖する山のホテルの管理の仕事に就く。　

仕事を決めるが、支配人のアルマンは、前任者のチャールズが、閉所恐怖症になり家族を殺して、自分も自殺した曰く付きの場所だと後から、言う。　

ジャックは、「そうはなりませんよ」と、伝えた。　妻のウェンディ、息子のダニーを引き連れ、ホテルに着く。　息子のダニーは、指を曲げ、口の中に住んでる違う人格がいると言う変わった子供だ。

　たまたま、そのホテルの閉鎖前の説明で会った黒人スタッフが、喋らないでテレパシーでダニーと、話し、その力は“シャイニング”だと言う。

　確かに、このホテルに来る前に、エレベーターの前から赤い波が起こり、双子の女の子が出てくる夢など見ていた。　

それを、黒人スタッフのハロランには、告げなかった。　ホテルに実際、訪れてからも、その双子の女の子の姿を見かける。

　冬の間のホテルのスタッフは、冬籠で家に帰り、3人だけの家族の生活が始まった。　ダニーは三輪車に乗り、ホテルを駆け回り、父ジャックは、広い中でタイピングを打つ。

妻ウェンディは、ダニーと広いホテルの庭の迷路に行ったりと、自由気ままな生活の様に思えた。　ダニーが双子の姿を見たり、夢を見たりする事を除けば。

段々、タイピングしてる内に上手くいかないジャックは、アルコール依存症を患っていて、其れの白昼夢を見るまでになる。最初は、白昼夢を見る前は、ただただ、閉鎖症の様な、酸素欠乏症の様な雰囲気でたまに、タイピングを止めたり、妻ウェンディを、恫喝していた。

　だが、次第にBARカウンターに、バーテンダーを見て、お酒が、飲める妄想が見えるのだ。　

そんな事の妄想の疑いもせずに、バーカウンターにいる一方、ダニーは、気になっていた部屋が開いているのを見る。　ジャックは遂に、悪夢を見てうなされ、ウェンディは心配をして見に行く。ジャックは、「妻と息子を殺す夢を見た」と言う。　ジャックは、怖がり、ウェンディはなだめる。

ダニーはフラフラとその方に歩いていた。ウェンディは、ジャックを、気にしつつも、ダニーを大人しくさせてから、ジャックの元に戻る。ダニーに寄ると、ダニーの首に痣が見えた。　

　ウェンディは、これは、ジャックの仕業だと、逃げる。ジャックは、自分が犯人では無い！と怒りながら、また、BARに行く。　いる筈も無いBARのバーテンダーに又、注文をする。其処へ、先ほど疑っていたウェンディが、ダニーの首の痣は、ダニーが、気にしていた部屋に‘老婆が居て首を締められた’と言う。　

ジャックは、部屋に向かうと、風呂場には美女が。風呂から出て、ジャックと抱きしめ合う。熱い抱擁を交わした処で、ジャックは、異変に気付く！そう。よく見たら、鏡に映った若い女性は、老婆の後ろ姿だった。　

よく、女を見たら、やはり老婆で、追いかけてきた！！！　

スティーブン・キング原作　映画『シャイニング』感想

　………本当にこのシーンを、覚えていた。この後の記憶が、定かでは無かった。あの時、高校生のあの時に、授業内で見たのは、其処までだったので、その後、いつ、シャイニングをジックリ見たのか、記憶は無い。

多分、レンタルして見たのだろうか。

　その後も、鮮やかな血の海の様な、血の波がエレベーターホールに流れたり、双子が刻まれてる回想シーンだったり、有名なシーンが沢山出てくる。

〜が、最後のホテルの庭の迷路のシーンは…記憶違いがある。なぜ、記憶が違うのか。検討する為に、シャイニングの円盤を買ってみようと思った。　

スティーブンキング先生が原作のこの作品で、映像もよく(古い割に今見ても鮮明だ)、更にサイコさが壮絶。

ただ、原作とあまりに違うらしい(ホテル自体、シャイニングと言う現象でありジャックは死なないで終わる)ので、スティーブンキング先生はこの作品に大激怒だと言うのは有名である。

　TVシリーズで原作通りのパターンを作った程と聞く。映画版のほぼオリジナルになってしまったスタンリーキューブリック版のシャイニングはシャイニングで好きなのだが。　

今、見ても、やはり衝撃は忘れられない。ちゃんと、人間の凶器として、役者さんが演じているのがスゴイ。

(此れは、役者さんの凶器を出す為、何度もリテイクを繰り返したと聞いた。何個も裏設定や与太話もあるので調べてみると面白い。
